Terms of use
Draft of 5 October 2026, to be reviewed by a lawyer before the apps launch.
My Aruba Taxi is run by Dot 1 Technologies VBA, Aruba ("we"). By using the apps you agree to these terms.
What we do
We connect riders with licensed, independent taxi drivers in Aruba. The ride is between the rider and the driver; we are not a taxi company and do not drive.
Fares
The app shows the official fare set by the Government of Aruba, published at taxi.aw, with the surcharges it allows. Waiting time is added by the driver at the end of the ride. Where the official list has no fare, the app says so and the rider and driver agree the price before the ride. Riders pay the driver; we do not charge riders a fee.
Riders
- Request only rides you intend to take. Cancelling is free and always one tap; repeated cancellations after the driver has arrived may limit your account.
- Treat drivers and their cars with respect. At most 7 passengers per taxi.
Drivers
- Hold a valid taxi permit, driver's licence and insurance, and keep them current in the app.
- Charge the fare the rider was shown. A platform fee per completed ride applies, as agreed when you sign up.
- Drivers are independent and responsible for their own taxes.
Accounts
Keep your sign-in to yourself. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or the law, and tell you why.
Liability
We work to keep the apps running and the information right, but cannot promise they always will be. We are not liable for the ride itself, which is the driver's service, except where Aruban law says otherwise.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Aruba. Questions: apps@dot1tech.com.
